Today we attended the “Geopolitics and Energy” conference organized by Energy Tools in Olot, where we had the opportunity to hear insightful presentations by Oscar Torres, Jordi Rabat, and Sonia Díaz, who shared valuable insights on the impact of geopolitical factors on B2B and energy consulting.
Oscar Torres emphasized the importance of anticipating client problems, working from a predictive rather than a reactive perspective. “The client sees you as a doctor, not a pharmacist: don’t talk so much about your product, but about their problem.” This gives us clarity to generate greater value, predictability, and scalability.
Furthermore, Jordi Rabat explained that, in the energy sector, it is key to ensure a degree of cost stability by locking in part of the future price in advance, advising to fix at least 50% to minimize the uncertainty caused by the geopolitical situation. He also highlighted the importance of relying on experts for strategic decision-making, emphasizing that speed of execution is essential for competitiveness, as “companies must be able to react quickly to changing scenarios.”
We especially thank the speakers, Oscar Torres and Jordi Rabat, for sharing their valuable ideas, and Energy Tools, Jordi Rabat, and David Vila Castells, for inviting us to this event, which allows us to continue improving and making decisions based on experience and knowledge.
