🏗️🌱 PACI Global participated in one of the panel discussions on April 24 at REBUILD 2025, the leading event for innovation and sustainability in the construction sector, held at IFEMA Madrid. Our colleague Iu Perramon participated in the panel discussion “Impactful Interiors: Health and Sanitation,” sharing PACI’s perspective on the importance of energy certification and smart building preparation to improve people’s well-being in residential and commercial interiors.
During his presentation, Iu highlighted how new smart preparation indicators allow for the assessment of the control capabilities of the different technical systems that make up a building, thus contributing to the creation of healthier, more comfortable, and more efficient interior environments.
The session also featured participation from other leading industry professionals, who presented various innovative solutions focused on the health and sustainability of interior spaces. All agreed on the need to integrate wellness criteria into building design and management.
However, there were disagreements regarding how to promote these wellness criteria in buildings. These criteria have a higher investment cost, and while implementing designs and projects, a common reality is that developers often seek to minimize construction costs while complying with current regulations for building users. These design criteria will be implemented in a minority capacity, even though an increase in awareness of personal well-being has been observed since the pandemic.
